Ram Navami

Ram navami is a religious and traditional festival which is celebrated with enthusiasm by people of Hindu religion every year. It is celebrated
as the birthday of Lord Rama, son of King Dasharath of Ayodhya and Rani Kaushalya. Lord Rama was the 7th
incarnation of Hindu God, Lord Vishnu's
Dashavtar. According to the Hindu calendar, this festival falls every year on the 9th day of the Shukla Paksha of the month of Chaitra (month).
Ramnavami is also called the Navami of the Shukla party of Chaitra month, which ends with the festival of Chaitra-Navaratri for nine days.
People of Hinduism celebrate it as a nine-day festival, on the whole, nine days by organizing the monolithic text of Ram Charit Manas, religious
hymns, havan, traditional kirtan and worship and distribution of prasad after worship. The devotees make idols in the form of Lord Rama's infant
and worship God in front of him.
As everyone knows, the 7th incarnation of Lord Vishnu was Lord Rama and he was born to remove his problems
among the common people. People prepare the temples and other religious places to perform their traditional rituals and to offer fruits and
flowers to the Lord, to overcome their problems and achieve a lot of prosperity and success. They all gather at the temples or other religious
places to sing the chants of Vedic chants, Aarti and many other religious hymns on this day.
Many devotees celebrate this festival by holding fast for nine days and on the last day of Navratri, they receive full blessings. Southern Indians
celebrate this day as the anniversary of the marriage of Lord Rama and mother Sita.
All the temples are decorated to celebrate Navaratri in the
southern region. However, according to the Valmiki Ramayana, people of Mithila and Ayodhya celebrate the anniversary of marriage on Panchami
Panchayat. A great grand ceremony of Ram Navami is organized at places just like Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh), Sitamarhi, Bihar, Rameswaram, Tamil
Nadu, Bhadrachalam, Andhra Pradesh etc, by thousands of pilgrims. On some places (such as Ayodhya, Vanaras, etc.), Rath Yatra of Lord Rama,
Mata Sita, Laxman and Hanuman Ji, i.e. Julus (Shobha Yatra) was taken after thousands of pilgrims after taking a holy dip in the sacred river

History of Ram Navami
Ramayana is the great and religious epic of Hindu religion, which tells the history of King Dasharath of Ayodhya and his son Lord Shri Ram.
Once, in the Treta era, there was a king named Dashrath, who had three wives (Kaushalya, Sumitra, and Kaikeyi). He had no children, because
of which he was anxious for the future King of Ayodhya. One day, he advised the great Guru Vashisht to fulfill the desire to attain the son,
to receive the sacrifice.
Rishyshringa was specially invited to perform this yagya. After completing the sacrifice, the Yagna Deity gave him a divine bowl filled with a
kheer. He gave the bowl of divine kheer to feed in three wives. After a few days of eating kheer, all the queens became pregnant. On the ninth
day of Chaitra, Kaushalaya gave birth to Ram in the afternoon, Kaikeyi Bharat and Sumitra gave birth to twins Laxman and Shatrughan.
The son of Kaushalya was the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who had born on earth to destroy the
unrighteousness and to establish the
religion. Lord Rama had saved his devotees from the attack of the wicked. He destroyed the evil of the entire earth by destroying all
demons
including Ravana and established religion on earth. The people of Ayodhya used to be very happy with their new king, so they started
celebrating
their King's birthday each year with a lot of enthusiasm and joy, which is a tradition today and religiously in the whole of India,
the Hindus

Ceremony of Ram Navami
People of Hindu religion living in the southern region of India usually celebrate this festival as a celebration of Kalyanotsavam i.e. God's
wedding. They celebrate it on Ram Navami day, with idols of Hindu Goddess Sita and Rama in their homes.
At the end of the day, they celebrate the festival of Lord Rama with the idols of Lord Ram. It is celebrated with different places at different

People celebrate this festival by decorating idols of Lord Rama, Lakshman, Mata Sita and Hanuman Ji. They prepare sweets, sweet drinks, to perform
rituals; they invoke Pandit Ji to make havan and narrative, from their homes.
